digital imaging special interest group (DISIG)

The DISIG group formed several years ago to meet the growing interest of computer users who were interested in all aspects of digital photography. If you ever wanted to improve your photo skills, this is the group for you.

Its activities include learning to take pictures, camera settings, lighting essentials, image composition, to create an impressive image from a "snapshot", photo editing, creating an exhibit, creating a slide show, learning how to use various photo editing tools and an annual field trip.

The group currently consists of about 45 members of MIAMUG and SMUG and is not limited to Mac users. Windows users are most welcome.

Meetings are informal, begin at 9:30 am and end around noon. Some are lectures, some workshops and there is plenty of time to visit and chat. For MIAMUG and SMUG members, there is no further fee to belong to this group.
